A Study of a Ride Comfort Control System for Ultra-Compact Vehicles Using Biometric Information

We investigated whether there is a correlation between the comfort felt by occupants and estimated from biological information obtained experiments to improve ride quality of an ultra-compact vehicle. A single frequency in vertical direction can help estimate occupant comfort. However, we hypothesized that study was insufficient. oscillated with vibrations containing multiple vibration frequencies biometric information. The set based on difference humans. Biometric using cerebral hemodynamic meter electrocardiogram. Acquiring types helps more accurately psychological state. After experiment, subjective evaluation against visual analog scale (VAS). experiment cluster-analyzed, experimental participants similar characteristics were grouped. Multiple regression analysis performed values typical cluster. Comfort analysis. confirmed measured VAS scores.
